Strategic Sourcing Workshop
Quickly Align Your Supply Base and Reduce Costs
This hands-on workshop is intended for team of up to six people who complete a strategic sourcing workshop. It combines online training in APD’s straightforward 7-step Strategic Sourcing process with a real-world market test to quickly optimize your company’s commodity buy. Participants receive private coaching from APD’s experienced Consultants, Cost Engineers, and Commodity Experts to achieve savings with suppliers that align with their company’s goals. Participants receive a Certification in Strategic Sourcing upon successful completion of required training modules and their strategic sourcing project.
After attending the course, participants will be able to:
- Develop ideal supplier profiles
- Utilize technology to conduct efficient market tests of current and potential suppliers
- Develop and implement commodity strategies that deliver savings and/or cost mitigations while aligning with company goals
- Engage stakeholders to contribute to and support the implementation of commodity strategies
Participants will also complete a strategic sourcing project that delivers:
- Savings and/or cost mitigation on your commodity spend
- A restructured commodity supply base that aligns with company goals
- Commodity strategy and action plan to deliver commodity objectives
